4to., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece and numerous plates, some light age-spotting; original navy buckram, upper board lettered in gilt with German war ensign blocked in colours; gilt back, uncut, a very good, bright, clean copy. With personal bookplate on front paste-down. The author served on HMS ALSATIAN, flagship of 10th Cruiser Squadron, formed under de Chair as the Northern Patrol of the Grand Fleet and operating from Scapa Flow. Enser, p.229.
