First edition, 8vo (230 x 145 mm) xii, iv, [1], 6-118 pp., with half-title, cont. cloth-backed boards, corners rubbed, rebacked, orig. gilt title label on upper cover. ìImrie carried the treatment of irregularities of the teeth further than any of his predecessors, and although utilizing their methods, he introduced into orthontic practice three principals heretofore not described. First, the use of plaster models in conjunction with block tin; second, caps (bands) soldered to the band (arch) to give greater surface for mastication and means of anchorage; third, the introduction of the gold bite plates.î - Weinberger, Orthodontics.
