WITH THE AUTHOR'S COMPLIMENTS SLIP LOOSELY INSERTED. Roe was a distinguished civil servant at the time of George III. These are verbatim printings of his private notebooks filled with much interesting material on the Withdean estate and the parish of Patcham (now all but absorbed by Brighton). EXTREMELY SCARCE.
