Descripción
Bombay [Mumbai], The Bombay Society of Natural History, 1917. 8vo (24.7 x 16.6 cm). 18 pp.; two plates. Disbound. = A rarely-seen work, written by the British-Indian ornithologist and falconer Charles Hilliard Donald (1873-1960), who became a honorary member of the Bombay Society of Natural History. This is infact one of only a few works dealing with raptors and falconry in India, which is peculiar, given its long tradition. Donald, however, published more on raptors in the Society's Journal. None of his contributions were published in book form. A very good, unmarked copy. Neither in Schwerdt, nor in any major ornithological bibliography.
