This is an almost very good softcover copy with light wear. Very clean inside and out. Spine has some stress marks from rough handling and rear cover creased.This is a sale catalog for an auction held at Sotheby's York Avenue showroom on January 31, 1981. Sale # 4531Y. The sale consisted of the remarkable collection of American samplers assembled by Theodore Kapnek. A large group of these samplers were exhibited at the Museum of American Folk Art in the winter of 1978-79. 172 lots in the sale. All illustrated in black & white, some in color.
