8vo., First Edition thus, some mild offsetting from fold-ins to free endpapers; original red cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in blue, blue top, a very good, clean copy in unclipped, moderately age-browned dustwrapper. The five novels of the Pasquier Chronicles were first published in English by Dent in 1937. The first three form a self-contained trilogy and appear here in a single volume for the first time. The introduction was written specially for this edition by Bozman, translator of Duhamel's 'Defense des Lettres'.
