About The Book: Timon of Athens, also known as The Life of Tymon of Athens, is a play believed to be co-written by William Shakespeare and possibly Thomas Middleton around 1606. It was first published in the First Folio in 1623. The story revolves around Timon, who lavishly spends his wealth on ungrateful companions until he is left impoverished and abandoned by them. Disillusioned with humanity, he retreats to live in a cave.
