No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, small bump to spine foot and no bumping to corners. 128pp. This biography and catalogue of the works of William Stott from the exhibtion at Oldham Gallery in 2003. He achieved rapid success in Paris from 1878, being medalled at the Paris Salon in 1882 and a hero figure among the British and American artists in Paris as well as an influential member of the international colony of artists at Grez-sur-Loing near Paris. On his return to England, he became a close friend of Whistler until his painting of Whistler's mistress in the nude caused a rift between them. An important artist whose best work has rarely been seen in public.
