8vo., First Edition, with coloured frontispiece, and numerous plates and folding maps (a number coloured); blue cloth, gilt back, a fine copy in unclipped dustwrapper. The original version of Richards' official and exhaustive account of the secret flotillas crucial to both SIS and SOE. It was revised and reissued as two volumes in 2004, retaining the overall 'Secret Flotillas' branding but retitled 'Clandestine Sea Operations' I and II.
