Description

This is a very good softcover copy with almost no wear. Completely clean inside and out. This is the July August 1969 summer issue with the cover by Marcel Duchamp as photographed by Hans Richter. This photograph/montage was taken from Richter's 1961 film, 'Dadascope', and these frames reproduced here for the first time to make this striking cover image. Cleve Gray edits this Duchamp section which has a chronology by Walter Hopps, reminiscences of M.D. by Jasper Johns, and Richter, William Copley's thoughts on 'the new piece' (Etants Donnes.), and M.D. interviews with Dorothy Norman and Colette Roberts. Also articles on Rauschenberg's recent graphic work, Todd Webb's photographs of Texas architecture, and a William Wesley Peters article on Taliesin Associated Architects' Frank Lloyd Wright inspired palace design for the Iranian Princess Shams Pahlavi (sister of the Shah). Illustrated in color and black & white. 12" high X 9" wide, 128 pages.
