Virtually unknown until the presentation of his work at the Documenta exhibition in Halle, Germany in 1995, Sergej Lobovikov's only exhibition of photographs was in 1927 in Moscow. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at Documenta in 1995. Illustrated in color and black & white, also sepia, a color tone Lobovikov favored. Essays by Hans Puttnies, Timofej Lobovikov (Sergej's son), and Nina Martynova. This is the only substantial monograph on the work of Sergej Lobovikov. 12" high X 10" wide, 235 pages.
