Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked black cloth boards, foxing to top of page edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket price clipped but not marked or torn or creased with slight rubbing to upper and lower edges. 385pp. This study looks at the result of the trouncing of progressive idealism in 1919. It shows how President Wilson's brand of liberalism failed, dicusses the failure of the Marxist experiments in Germany and Hungary, the rout of the warlike anarchism of d'Annunzio in Italy and Makhno in the Ukraine and it shows how the eclipse of the more libertarian Russian Communists led to the triumph of the monolithic ideologies, which are one hundred per cent American-ism, Moscow-style Communism and Fascism.
