London, H. F. & C. Witherby, 1962. 8vo (22.0 x 14.1 cm). x, 247 pp., one full colour frontispiece, six b/w plates, 115 text figures. Publisher's warm grey buckram, with red and gilt title on spine. = First edition. In 1963 an American edition was published too. With the small stamp off the German ecologist, malacologist and entomologist Herbert Ant (1933-2010) on front free endpaper recto and half-title, otherwise a very good, clean copy.
