Description
No marks or inscriptions. Crease to front cover. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked, very slightly dusty covers and no bumping to corners. 88pp. Introduction by journalist and local historian Chris Aspin. These stories in Blackburn dialect verse written under the non-de-plume Jack o' Ann's were taken from the Blackburn Times over a period of 33 years from around 1880 onwards. They were written by the publisher's great grandfather. With four black & white photos of the author and the area from the 1890s plus some of his hand-written correspondence. Scarce.
