Single sheet, 8vo., on 'Grand Fleet' stationery,in near fine state. The letter in entirely in Beatty's hand, and signed and dated 19 December 1918. At this time Beatty, who commanded the Battlecruiser Squadron at Jutland, was serving as Commander of the Grand Fleet; Admiral Sir Reginald Tyrwhitt was Commander of the Harwich Force.
