Due to his outstanding success as a leader, he was able to collect information and pass it to our intelligence officers in Switzerland. He infiltrated the German V1 Flying Bomb factory, stole plans and passed them to the RAF thus enabling the British to stop the 5,000 flying bombs which the Germans had intended to drop on London.
