The main work has a lithographed vignette on the title-page and 21 EXTREMELY FINE FULL-PAGE LITHOGRAPHS (of scenery, ruins, towns, and monuments) BY NARCISSE ROMAGNESI AND CHARLES PENSEE, MOST OF WHICH ARE PRINTED ON CHINE APPLIQUE. The supplement (of which the entire text is printed in lithography) has a title-page vignette and two additional full-page lithographs. Printed on very fine wove paper. Large folio (42 cm). Bound in 19th-century pebbled cloth and decorated boards. Traces of wear to binding, INTERNALLY FINE AND BRIGHT, WITH BOTH TEXT PAGES AND LITHOGRAPHS FRESH AND SPOTLESS. A rare book, and extraordinarily rare in such fine condition and complete with the supplement.
