1 p. 13 x 20 cm. John Holbrook Vance wrote mystery, fantasy, and science fiction stories, many under pseudonyms including Peter Held, Alan Wade, and John van See, but also Ellery Queen. In 1961 he receivced the Edgar Allan Poe Award for the best first mystery novel ("The Man in the Cage").
