8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece and plate, some light offsetting from fold-ins to free endpapers; terracotta cloth, gilt back, a near fine copy in price-clipped dustwrapper. Marsh was arguably the most influential literary patron of the Edwardian and Georgian periods, whose encouragement and support was invaluable to many aspiring writers, among them Brooke and Sassoon. Marsh was also secretary to Churchill for over twenty years.
