Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very slightly dusty page edges and slight bumping to some corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with slightly sunned spine and a little faint creasing. 229pp. Born into an army family in India, she was present at the siege of Delhi, the most crucial encounter of the Indian Mutiny in 1857 and provides us with a compelling eye-witness account of this time. Her memoirs are also of childhood in India and England before the Mutiny.
