First American edition. 8vo, original peach cloth lettered in black on the upper cover, the spine lettered in black and with extensive decoration in green and black. 258, [1]. A very nice copy, the cloth quite clean and fresh, internally clean, solid and attractive. The last 20 or so pages with a small marginal hole from worming not effecting any text and very minor.
Edizione: a posthumous collection of twenty-three works published only one month after the author’s untimely death at the age of forty-five. during lawrence’s short life he provoked more discussion then any other writer of his day. in the words of the publisher, “for inspired sincerity and courage lawrence stood alone.”
