Oblong 8vo. 1 S. To James Cropper and his partner, Robert Rathbone Benson (known as "Robert R", 1785-1846). - Lord Lennox represented King's Lynn, Norfolk, in conjunction with Lord George Bentinck, as a moderate reformer and a supporter of the government from the end of the year of 1832 to the end of 1834. James Cropper, successful in business, together with Robert R. Benson became the founder of "Cropper, Benson, & Co." merchants, and made a personal fortune. Both were members of the Liverpool quaker movement and abolitionists. - Stamped, with collector's note to carrier paper.
