Stuttgart, Beck und Fränkel, 1846. 4to (30.0 x 22.2 cm). 18 pp.; three lithographed plates. Contemporary full cloth with gilt title on the spine and red morocco medaillon with gilt border and number mounted on the front board. = Rare and early contribution to the fossil flora of Württemberg, describing and illustrating several new species of fern. Written by the German palaeontologist and botanist Johann Gottlob Kurr (1798-1870) (from 1853 onwards Von Kurr). This is the same author who published the "Das Mineralreich in Bildern" (1858). Old label on front board; library stamps on title page; otherwise a very good copy. Poggendorf I, 1333.
