Large 4to (32.0 x 24.0 cm). ix, 235, [v] pp.; 72 text engravings, three plates, of which two large, folded, in full colour, one very large full colour geological map in rear pocket. original printed wrappers. = A thorough, well-illustrated study. The full colour profiles on the second and third are excellent; the first plates shows Mesozoic fossils, mainly molluscs. Uncut. Small former owner's inscription in the title page top margin, wrapper edges frayed and a bit chipped, internally a very good clean copy, complete with the very large folded map (scale 1: 50,000) which is often lacking.
