Clean very tight copy with slightly marked boards, foxing to a few pages, dusty page edges and rubbing to corners and spine. 256pp. First edition of HE Bates' story of a creative young woman, trapped in a dull marriage who has an affair with her husband's brother. Tucked in is a copy of an obituary from The Times 1974 of the author.
