Prag, Borrosh & André, 1842. 8vo. 55 pp.; one folded hand-coloured engraved map of the "Kohlenführende Gebirgsformationen in Böhmen" with nine different colours. Original green grained roan. = A rare work on coal, by the Bohemian geologist Franz Xaver Maximillian Zippe (1791-1863). Bound in a nice and unusual, contemporary binding. Provenance: with on the title page verso a stamp of the "Hofbibliothek Donaueschingen". Text damp-stained, cover split at spite, otherwise very good, the map clean.
