Leipzig, W. Engelmann, 1856. 8vo. xvi, 383 pp., 86 text figures. Original black, grained half cloth over deep purple boards. = First edition. Next to "Grundriss der Krystallographie" publiced in 1826 the most important work on crystallography by the German mineralogist Carl Friedrich Naumann (1797-1873). Old Hungarian private library stamp, and old inscription, dated 1857, on the titlepage. Small repair to the title page lower margin, some light spotting, otherwise a very good copy. Ward and Carozzi, 1640.
