Description
No marks or inscriptions. A lovely clean crisp very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. Bright gilt lettering and framing on maroon cloth. Price clipped dust jacket not marked, torn or creased with slight fading to spine. 144pp. The delightful true story of an outing to the Lake District at the birth of the age of mass tourism in 1865. Details of the journey there and of the events on holiday were painstakingly copied into an album at the time, in poetry and prose along with excellent illustrations in pen and ink and water-colour. This is a copy of the album which still survives.
