Description
Previous owner's name on front end paper. A little foxing to a very small number of pages and to slightly dusty page edges. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked boards, slight marking to foot of spine and minor rubbing/bumping to some corners and spine ends. Clear gilt lettering to spine. Embossed front cover with title, author and floral motif. A few pages still uncut. 285pp. Victorian fiction based around the Stockport area. Undated but Supplementary Book List bound in with book dated 1894, thus possible First Edition as this work was first publiished in 1894. Extremely scarce.
