In 8° (cm. 23 x 16,5); pagg. XI, 263; con 40 tavole fotograf. f.t.; tela origin. con titoli oro al dorso. Dorso un po' scolorito (sunned) e fioriture, ma molto buono. VG-. ** L'Autore fu uno dei più celebri pionieri del volo inglesi, ma soprattutto un grande "imprenditore" dell'aviazione: costruttore aeronautico, creò una scuola di volo e -forse primo al mondo- si lanciò nel business della gestione aeroportuale, finendo però con entrare in conflitto con la RAF. La visione che propone dell'aeronautica e del suo futuro è la visione di chi quel futuro contribuiva a crearlo.
