A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, minor traces of storage and no bumping to corners. 101pp. A translation of an original German military training manual for ski troops, the manual covers individual and unit training, heavy infantry weapons, movement on skis, patrols and raids. It includes details of the organisation of ski units to battalion level. Further information includes dog teams, ski maintenance and the evacuation of wounded. There are 42 good illustrations. Reprint of a Restricted US War Department document of 1944.
