In 4°; due volumi in uno; pagg. (6), 14, 16, 16, 16, 16, 14, con 48 incisioni in acciaio e 7 carte geografiche; (4), 16, 12, 16, 16, 16, 28, con 48 incisioni e 6 carte geografiche. Percallina coeva con dorso a nervi titolo e fregi in oro tagli e dentelle dorate. Prima edizione. L'autore concepì l'idea di pubblicare l'opera in seguito ad un viaggio nelle Alpi effettuato nel 1824 sulle orme di Annibale. Dal 1825 al 1829 attraversò le Alpi 58 volte utilizzando più di 40 passaggi diversi. Le belle tavole raffigurano soggetti montani e vedute di città. Ottimo esemplare che presenta lievi fioriture internamente e tracce d'uso alla legatura con mancanza restaurata all'angolo della cuffia sup, cerniera restaurata.
