First Edition, Inscribed by General Booth to the German Emperor on the front fly leaf in calligraphic hand. With a wonderful folding plan of the Salvation Army Social Campaign executed in colours. 8vo, bound in presentation red morocco, lettered in gilt on the spine with the Salvation Army seal, and bordered and ruled in gilt on both covers, a.e.g. 285, with appendix and ads, xxxi pp. A clean and handsome copy internally, the binding has some ager to the edges and the text block is shaken.
