Description
Signed by JB Priestley, David Hughes and Rupert Hart-Davis to title page. No other marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, a trace of foxing to page fore-edges and tiny bump to upper front corner. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or rubbed or creased with minor foxing and well-sunned spine. 226pp. In this study, David Hughes attempts to convey JB Priestley to the reader rather than to judge him. The story continues over many years across the breadth of England. Tucked in is a letter dated '58 from the author (David) to the previous owner explaining he is sending a presentation copy signed by Rupert (Hart-Davis), Priestley and 'myself'. An extremely scarce item.
