Original printed wrappers. = A well-illustrated work, showing a large diversity of slugs, especially from Kazachstan and in particular the region around Lake Balkhash, or Balqash. Many species are new. Written by the German landsnail specialist Heinrich Rudolf Simroth (1851-1917). Uncut.The wrappers, from the academy's Annuaire de Musée zoologique, frayed and chipped at edges; the work itself, on much better paper, very good, clean.
