Illustrated Junior Library edition. Handsomely illustrated by Lynd Ward with ten fine colourplates in watercolour style and with numerous woodcut illustrations throughout the text. Tall 8vo, in the publisher's original decorated cloth featuring an all-over full colour illustration by Ward wrapping around both covers and the spine, the spine features a red label simulating morocco, gilt lettered and decorated, in the original clear acetate dustjacket with lettering in white and black. 340, [1] pp. A near fine copy, the interior fine and fresh and clean. The decorated cloth just lightly mellowed along the top and bottom edges. The clear wrapper is fully intact with no tears or wear and with no flaking to the painted lettering, just a bit hazy and toned.
