Description
No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked dark olive green cloth boards, foxing to top of page edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn or rubbed with tiny crease to top of slightly sunned spine. 228pp. The author's account, written when he was a prisoner of war in Colditz in 1942, tells of the collapse of the B.E.F., the formation of the G.H.Q. Liaison regiment (Phantom) and of the Greek Campaign. He was a civilian, projected into the higher ranks of the military hierarchy who saw the problems of war in a different light to that of the professional soldier.
