Description
PERHAPS THE ONLY EXTANT COPY of this unrecorded book of poems printed in Dunkirk. Printed on Japanese paper. 214 pp. With an extremely affectionate SIGNED presentation inscription (1905) from the author: "A mes seconds parents de . (inscription cropped by binder) . avec toute l'affection de leur Georges". This is obviously some kind of preliminary proof copy, and I've found no evidence that the actual edition was ever printed. The pages of quires 5 and 6 and hopelessly scrambled, with (for example) p. 96 and 103 printed on the same leaf, several pages printed upside-down (relative to the other page on that leaf), etc. 8vo. Attractively bound in recent half morocco and marbled boards. FINE AND BRIGHT. An extremely rare (if not unique) regional imprint.
