Description
No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with unmarked grey card covers, dusty top of page edges, foxing to a small number of pages and no bumping to corners. Fore and lower page edges untrimmed. 151pp. James Lusk was a highly respected officer of the 6th Battalion The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) in World War I who was sadly killed in action in December 1915. The letters are mainly those written to his mother from the field in France. The frontispiece is his portrait photograph.
