A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very slight sunning to spine, foxing to lower edges of pages, rubbing to top of spine and no bumping to corners. Clear gilt lettering and embossing to front board and spine. Gilt top of page edges. 202pp. Detailed study of writers and their influence on history, from the earliest days in Judea, Greece and Rome up to the time of late 19th century authors.
