Zürich, Orell, Gessner, Füssli, 1787-1788. Two volumes in two. 8vo (19.0 x 11.6 cm). Four plates, one map, four tables. Matching original boards with later cloth backing, small vellum labels with hand-written titles on spines. Edges speckled red. = The first two volumes of the rare early Swiss natural history journal of which four volumes were issued. Deals with the geography and geology of Switzerland and contains, for instance, a large, folding map of Grindewald, and four large, folding tables of minerals; and geological and botanical illustrations. Boards rubbed; old library stamp on the title-pages, otherwise clean. Poggendorff I, 1120.
