Rio de Janeiro, Imprensa Nacional, 1917. Thick 8vo (22.1 x 15.7 cm). xviii, 611 pp. Contemporary half calf over marbled boards. Marbled endpapers. = Very rare phanerogamic Flora of Brasil. Library stamp of a former owner on first blank with note: "This book is excessively rare!". Albert Löfgren, or Alberto Loefgren (1854-1918) was a Swedish-Brazilian botanist and director of the São Paolo botanical garden. A bit worm-holed in front and in the rear, with some clumsy repairs. No real loss, however, and still a good copy. Stafleu and Cowan, 4919.
