Description
No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers, creasing to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 312pp. The story of how the US Congress surveyed and sold the land to the west of the Ohio river in 1785. This was the greatest property deal of all time and led to the the imposition of the well-known current grid system on the unmapped land.
