First edition, in French, full title Mémoire sur la Théorie des Nombres, Présenté a l’Académie des Sciences, le 31 Mai 1830, par M. Augustin Cauchy. Contemporary quarter leather binding with gilt lettering on spine, cover heavily worn with the front board almost detached and lower part of spine missing (see photos, it will need rebinding), ex-library label on pastedown and few small unobstructive stamps inside, sporadic mild foxing, internally good.
Rare work in original edition, in French, on the theory of numbers by the great mathematician Augustin-Louis Cauchy.
Prima edizione, in francese. rilegatura coeva in quarto pelle con scritte dorate al dorso, vistosi segni di usura, piatto anteriore quasi sciolto, parted del dorso inferiore mancante (v. foto, necessitera' di una rilegatura), etichetta biblioteca alla sguardia e pochi piccoli timbri non intaccanti il testo all'interno, sporadiche lievi fioriture, interno buono. Rara opera in prima edizione di Augustin Cauchy sulla teoria dei numeri.
