Edizione originale (stampa settembre 1948) di questa raccolta di 60 illusioni e trucchi di magia rivolti a prestigiatori professionisti e dilettanti. Luc Mégret, «Magicien français et vulgarisateur de la magie» (Raczynski) esordì come illustratore negli anni '20, affiancando ai lavori per almanacchi, romanzi popolari e album per l'infanzia una produzione di immagini e affiches per illusionisti e prestigiatori, guadagnandosi la nomea di «dessinateur du mystère». Mégret fu inoltre prolifico autore di propri manuali di magia di taglio popolare, di cui curò naturalmente anche la parte iconografica, ristampati fino agli anni '70.
