Un volume (11x19 cm) di XXVII-648 pagine, con 294 figure nel testo e 1 tavola a colori in antiporta, protetta da velina. Fioriture -foxing- diffuse; un'etichetta con numero alla pagina di titolo. Cartonato editoriale con titolo al piatto in cornice tipografica (legatura un po' sporca, con abrasioni soprattutto al dorso, con etichetta). Prima edizione francese di questo importante trattato di geologia.
