First edition, 8vo (200 x 115 mm), xxxvi, 392 + 12pp., of publishersí adverts at the front and 4pp., at end, with half-title, faint unobtrusive stamp to title, new endpapers, later quarter blue morocco by Chivers of Bath, untrimmed. Combe maintained that mental disorder was in fact a ësymptom of cerebral diseaseí, and therefore to be regarded in the same way as the diseases of any other organ.
