London, The Geological Society of London, 1893. 8vo. 27 pp.; four lithographed plates. 20th-century marbled boards. = A detailed study on Carboniferous bivalves, by the British surgeon and palaeontologist Wheelton Hind (1860-1920). Several species are new. Published in the Society's Quarterly Journal, volume 49. Hind is also the author of the later published A monograph of the British Carboniferous Lamellibranchiata, a Palaeontographical Society Monograph. Private owner's stamp of the Swiss geologist and palaeontologist Alphonse Jeannet (1883-1962) in the lower margin of the first text page. Otherwise a very good, clean copy.
