8vo., First Edition; original printed wrappers, sewed as issued, covers lightly age-soiled else a bright, clean copy. John Cecil Masterman (1891-1977), noted author, academic and latterly Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford, is also remembered for his service during WWII, when as Chairman of the Twenty Committee he ran the Double-Cross System controlling double agents in the UK. A RARE SURVIVAL.
