Description
No marks or inscriptions. Light creasing to covers, none to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 110pp. The life of Thomas Paine 1737-1809, born in Norfolk and emigrated to America - the author of 'Common Sense', 'Rights of Man' and 'The Age of Reason'. His writings were said to have sparked the War of Independence. Illustrative colour cartoons with captions plus notes at the end referring to pages of the book. Vividly illustrated and told verbatim through the voices of many of Paine's contemporaries. An extremely scarce book.
